FarshAura specializes in premium handmade carpets, including hand-knotted and hand-tufted carpets. Our collections are crafted using carefully selected natural and premium materials, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, quality, and timeless design.

Yes. Our carpets are handcrafted by skilled artisans. Because they are handmade, each carpet may have slight variations in colour, texture, pile height, pattern, or dimensions. These natural variations are a characteristic of handmade carpets and add to their uniqueness.

Materials & Construction

Our carpets are made using premium materials, depending on the design and construction:

  • Hand-tufted carpets: Primarily made using natural wool.
  • Hand-knotted carpets: Available in wool, wool & silk, and wool & viscose combinations.

The exact material composition of each carpet is mentioned in the individual product description.

Hand-knotted carpets are created by individually tying knots onto the foundation of the carpet. This is a highly time-intensive process and generally results in a durable and long-lasting carpet.

Hand-tufted carpets are created by inserting yarn into a fabric foundation using a tufting technique. They offer excellent design flexibility and can provide a luxurious look and feel at a more accessible price point.

Our hand-tufted carpets are primarily made with natural wool, while our hand-knotted collections are available in wool, wool & silk, and wool & viscose combinations. Please refer to the individual product page for the specific material used in each carpet.

There may be slight differences between the colour displayed on your screen and the actual carpet due to screen settings, lighting, photography, and the natural characteristics of the materials.

Handmade carpets can also have subtle variations in colour and tone, which are a natural part of the craftsmanship.

Handmade Characteristics

Yes. Handmade carpets may have minor variations in knotting, texture, pile height, colour, or pattern alignment. These are not necessarily defects; they are natural characteristics of handcrafted products and are part of what makes each FarshAura carpet unique.

Handmade carpets may have minor variations in dimensions due to the handcrafted manufacturing process. The dimensions mentioned on the product page should be considered the stated size, with reasonable handmade variation possible.

Not always. Natural fibres, pile direction, hand-knotting, and the way light reflects from the surface can cause the carpet to appear slightly different when viewed from different directions. This is commonly referred to as a change in appearance caused by the pile direction and is normal for handmade carpets.

If a particular design is available for customization, the available size options or customization details will be mentioned on the product page. For custom requirements, please contact FarshAura before placing your order.

Our carpets are carefully prepared and securely packed to help protect them during transportation. Depending on the size and construction of the carpet, it may be rolled and packed appropriately for shipping.

Yes. Carpets that are rolled for transportation may develop temporary creases or fold marks. These generally relax naturally after the carpet has been laid flat for some time. Avoid using excessive heat or harsh methods to remove creases.

Care & Maintenance

Regular, gentle vacuuming is recommended to remove dust and loose particles. Avoid aggressive brushing or using harsh cleaning chemicals.

For deep cleaning or significant stains, we recommend using a professional carpet-cleaning service experienced in handling handmade wool and silk carpets.

We do not recommend washing handmade carpets at home unless specifically instructed for that particular product. Improper washing or excessive moisture can damage natural fibres, dyes, backing, or the structure of the carpet.

Clean spills as soon as possible by gently blotting them with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not rub the affected area, as rubbing can push the stain deeper into the fibres.

For difficult or persistent stains, consult a professional carpet cleaner.

Yes. However, heavy furniture can leave temporary impressions in the pile. Moving furniture periodically and gently adjusting the pile can help maintain the appearance of the carpet.

Yes. Some shedding of loose wool fibres can occur, particularly when a carpet is new. This is a normal characteristic of many natural wool carpets and generally decreases with regular, gentle vacuuming.

Natural fibres and dyes can change subtly with exposure to sunlight, lighting, and regular use. To help maintain the carpet's colour, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and rotate the carpet periodically where practical.

Returns, Refunds & Defects

Our carpets are non-refundable and non-returnable for reasons such as a change of mind, incorrect size selection, colour preference, or personal preference, unless the product has a confirmed manufacturer defect covered by our policy.

We strongly recommend reviewing the product details, dimensions, materials, colours, and images carefully before placing your order. If you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist you before purchase.

If you believe your carpet has a manufacturer defect, please contact FarshAura as soon as possible after receiving the product.

Our team may request photographs, videos, order details, and other information to assess the issue. If the issue is confirmed to be a manufacturer defect, we will provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with our refund/defect policy.

A manufacturer defect refers to a genuine defect arising from the manufacturing process that materially affects the quality or usability of the carpet.

Minor variations in colour, texture, pile, dimensions, knotting, or appearance that naturally occur in handmade carpets are not considered manufacturing defects.

Please inspect the package and carpet upon delivery. If you notice visible damage or suspect that the product has been damaged during transportation, take clear photographs/videos of the packaging and carpet and contact FarshAura promptly.

Please contact our customer support team with your order number, photographs/videos showing the issue, and a brief description of the problem. Our team will review the claim and guide you through the next steps.

Product Selection

Consider the dimensions of your room and the furniture arrangement before purchasing. We recommend measuring the intended area carefully and using masking tape on the floor to visualize the carpet's size before ordering.

Consider the room size, furniture placement, traffic level, desired look, and maintenance requirements. Wool carpets are a popular choice for their natural feel and durability, while wool & silk and wool & viscose carpets can offer additional visual depth and a luxurious appearance.

Suitability depends on the construction, material, pile, and design of the individual carpet. Hand-knotted wool carpets can be particularly suitable for areas with regular use, while more delicate wool & silk or wool & viscose carpets may be better suited to lower-traffic areas.

Please check the product details or contact us for guidance on a particular carpet.
